Special Admission Requirements for All Education Students: To receive an Associate of Arts degree in Teaching, the student must (a) make a minimum grade of C in all required courses, (b) have an overall GPA of 2.0 or greater and (c) authorize independent school districts to complete a comprehensive criminal history check. Students will not be allowed to participate in field observations without criminal background clearance.
All courses in EDIN have a waitlist option on all sections. If the section fills, the registration system will open a waitlist for students registering online to have an opportunity to claim any seats that open. Even though the section may show available seats, if there are students on the waitlist for the course, the seats will not become available for enrollment until the students on the list have been notified of their availability. 16 Week Session: August 27 - December 16
Students in EDUC 1301 must pass a criminal history background check and complete 16 hours of field observations in the public schools. Field observations will be scheduled during public school hours Monday-Thursday. Background checks and placements will be addressed during the first week of class.

Service Learning will be scheduled during public school hours Monday-Thursday. Background checks and placements will be addressed during the first week of class. EDUC 1301 is a pre-requisite course to EDUC 2301. Students must complete EDUC 1301 with a "C" or better.
